Imagine a creative rhythm that kindles passion and inspiration & leaves you feeling energised and productive.

Imagine feeling in control, able to make decisions and plan ahead with ease, even (surely not?!) finishing your to-do list without burning out.

A creative rhythm guided by nature-led cycles is not only possible, it will transform your life.

I’ve been there. Overwhelmed by ideas, uncertain where to begin, zero motivation to tick off the next thing on the list. Wasn’t a creative career supposed to feel, well, more creative?!

Here’s the thing: when we’re pushing forward with tasks and projects that don’t align with who we are and what’s going on in the world around us, it can feel like we’re forever taking two steps forward and one step back. We rarely take the time to acknowledge and consider what might be impacting our creativity, because projects have to be completed, deadlines must be met. However, if we know ourselves more intimately, if we can connect with our mind, body and soul and understand how they are impacted by the sun, the earth and the skies, then we can pre-empt how we are likely to feel, plan ahead with certainty, and create with more ease and joy.

Often we believe that a masculine approach to work is the key to making money, moving forward and getting stuff done. Sometimes we might lean more into a feminine approach, choosing to reject the hustle and intensities and focus on a slower more creative approach. Or you might shift between the two, believing if one way doesn’t work, you might as well try the other (I’ve been there!). But the path I want to share is one that combines the two, one that acknowledges we are all made up of both the masculine and feminine, and embraces a blend of strategy and soul.

I’m here to help you feel empowered to shift from a linear route to a cyclical path that leaves space for both ebb and flow, for action and renewal. The Creative Cycle is your guide to discovering that path. Over four weeks of self-led content, you’ll learn how to reconnect with your roots and ground your creative practice, dream of a new reality and discover what’s possible, ignite your desires and plan for the future, and engage with a cyclical and holistic approach to creativity.

You’ll create your own unique blueprint for planning ahead with ease, discover which tasks are best suited to the phases of each cycle, and deepen your self-awareness, igniting joy, passion and excitement for your creativity once again.

FAQ

Who is the course for?
Wildhearted creatives. If you are passionate about creating, and want to approach it intuitively with nature in mind, this is the course for you. You might be a writer, a photographer, a painter, a potter, a sculptor, a blogger, a gardener - if you see yourself as a creative, you’re in the right place.

Is there a start/finish date?
No - the course is entirely self-led, and you can work your way through the material at your own pace. During pre-order stage, you will receive an email confirming your purchase, and then all digital/printed material will be delivered week commencing 24th May 2021.

Do I need to have a menstrual cycle to enrol?
The course explores a number of different cycles, and the menstrual cycle is one of them. If you menstruate, this will be an extra layer to add to your creative cycle. If you don’t, you can choose to focus on other cycles instead (seasonal/lunar/solar) - so the answer is no, you do not need to have a menstrual cycle to enrol.

Please note this course is not for you if you’re looking for in-depth guidance on how to track your menstrual cycle.

Do I need to have a creative business to enrol?
You do not need a creative business, simply the desire to productively focus on your creativity. If you create as a hobby, the course will bring greater focus and clarity and assist you to move forward with any projects you might be working on. If you create for work, in addition the course will help you to map out and plan ahead your months and quarters with much more ease.

How much time can I expect to spend on the course?
You will need to dedicate around 1 hour per module to listen to or watch the content. Then it’s entirely up to you how long you spend on the exercises, but I’d recommend at least 1-2 hours per module. In addition, you might want to add cyclical observations to your daily rhythm, but these will only take a few minutes per day.

Why are you best placed to lead me through this planning process?
I have always loved order, routine, rhythm and the process of planning. However, for a long time it felt quite clinical, and while I might have enjoyed the process, it was rare that I ever made it to the ‘action’ stage that usually follows. In the past six years, things have changed, and I have: planned, edited and published eight issues of an independent magazine; written and self-published a chapbook of poetry and short stories; written, sold and taught five courses; and mentored other nature-led creatives. Everything I have achieved has been rooted in the cycles and seasons of the natural world, and approaching projects in this way has increased my self-awareness, made me far more productive, and has meant I can run a business and do what I love without sacrificing my energy or feeling like I’m working against the tide all the time. I have been where you are right now, uncertain how to move forward, feeling drained and frustrated. This course is what I searched for, in vain, when I first started out. Now I want to share my nature-led process and how you can create cyclically, with the earth in mind.

Is this course relevant if I’ve already taken another course with Creative Countryside before?
All previous students should have received an email with details of how to enrol onto this course, and how it differs to the course(s) you may have taken already. Please get in touch if you’ve not received this email and I will be only too happy to clarify!

What is your refund policy?
Please invest with intention as there will be no refunds.

I have another question…
